Braids
Box braids, knotless, cornrows, feed‑ins, French braids, tribal patterns, kids' styles — done with the tension your scalp will thank us for.
All lengths & texturesA Toronto salon rooted in Ethiopian and Eritrean tradition, where every texture is understood, every strand is respected, and every appointment feels a little like home. Book with Elisabeth or Isther and you'll see what 323 neighbours have already reviewed.
Zoma is a Black Canadian, women‑owned salon on the Danforth. The room is painted in the warm terracotta of an Addis afternoon, hand‑carved wooden pieces watch over the mirrors, and the light is the kind that makes everyone look their best in the chair.
We built this space to be more than a salon — a place where natural hair is treated as it deserves to be, where braiders take the time your style is worth, and where every guest, from every background, walks in as a stranger and leaves as a regular.
From protective styles that hold for weeks to the treatments that keep your natural hair thriving in between. Every service is by appointment — call and we'll match you with the stylist who fits your goal.

Neat, tight, and gentle on your edges — Elisabeth is the one guests come back to for knotless braids, cornrows and long install days that never feel rushed.
Twists, faux locs, sew‑ins and every kind of protective style — Isther is loved for her eye for shape and how comfortably a fresh install sits on day one.
